Pull
Australian Chin-up
Beginner
Level 28/100
The Australian chin-up is the supinated (palms toward you) inverted-row variant. Supination puts the biceps in a stronger mechanical position, making it slightly easier than pronation and emphasizing biceps more.

Vs pronated grip
A chin-up grip activates the biceps more fully than a pull-up grip because the biceps both flex the elbow and supinate the forearm—both functions fire together in supination.
Execution
Identical to the Australian pull-up but with palms facing you. Same emphasis on initial scapular depression, rigid plank, and chest-to-bar contact.
Progression use
Especially useful if you want to prepare for chin-ups before tackling pronated pull-ups, since greater biceps involvement helps learn the pulling pattern.
