Finger Push-ups

Advanced Level 70/100

Finger push-ups are performed on the fingertips only (no palms). That adds a unique challenge for grip, forearm, and finger strength on top of normal chest and triceps work.

Why train them

Finger and forearm strength is critical for pull-ups, front lever, back lever, and especially the hefesto. Finger push-ups are a safe progressive way to build it.

Execution

In a plank, support on the fingertips with fingers extended and palms elevated. Body position unchanged. Perform a normal push-up keeping fingers active and knuckles high. Start with 5 fingers and progress to 4, 3, 2 (index + thumb), and finally 1 finger per hand.

Injury prevention

Start easy (more fingers) and build gradually. Finger tendons adapt slowly—respect recovery.
